WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — Police are investigating a bizarre incident at a south Wichita gas station.

Just after 9 a.m. someone was about to walk into the Phillips 66 gas station at 47th and Broadway, but saw a disturbance inside and thought the store was being robbed. That person called 911 and several officers responded.

When police arrived, they entered and found a woman bound with zip ties being assaulted by a man in the back of the store.

Officers used a Taser to subdue and arrest the suspect. Police say the man in custody is also the store manager.

The woman was treated at the scene by EMS, but she was not seriously hurt.

Police are calling the incident a domestic violence situation, and say that the suspect and victim know each other. The woman reportedly had a protection order against the man.

Several officers remain on scene investigating.
