DENISON, Kan. (WIBW) - A fight landed two people behind bars in Jackson County facing drug and other charges.

Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says deputies were called to fight just before 11:30 am Friday at 101 Highland St. in Denison. 43-year-old Henry Allen of Mayetta was arrested at the scene.

Morse says deputies obtained a search warrant for the property later that afternoon and seized what is believed to methamphetamine and marijuana. Jackson County authorities also called Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism officials to the scene. Morse says that agency seized several wildlife items, including deceased animals. He says Wildlife and Parks continues that part of the investigation.

Following the search, deputies took 35-year-old Kari Hopkins of Denison into custody Saturday.

Allen is being held on $30,000 bond on charges of disorderly conduct, domestic battery, criminal threat, criminal restraint and possession of stimulants, hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.

Hopkins was booked on charges of aggravated child endangerment plus possession of stimulants, hallucinogenic drugs and drug paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $20,000.
