TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- The dancing sensation and Topeka native who wowed the county each week on "So You Think You Can Dance" is back in her hometown tonight.
Hayley says her experience has been nothing short of amazing, but she's glad to finally have some down-time.
Hayley Erbert is still a teenager and already sky-rocketed to stardom - making it to the top 3 women on the competitive dancing show.
"It's so unbelievable."
After impressing the judges and America on TV and in a tour of 44 cities, Hayley took a spin in a smaller spotlight Wednesday night, teaching sessions for her former instructor, who now runs Fuzion School of Dance in North Topeka.
"Everybody was getting together and watching the show and that's just so cool to know I have all that support in my hometown," Hayley said. "So coming back home, I get to see all those people and they're always like 'I voted for you!' and I'm like 'I know!' and I'm so thankful for that."
Although she most recently took classes at a Kansas City studio, Hayley has known Fuzion Owner and Instructor Kelly Quy since she was in the second grade.
"She was always a little sassy thing," Quy said. "Watching her on the competition stage over the last 10 years has just, I mean, she's gone from being that sassy little girl to a beautiful young lady, so it's really neat to see her not only stay sassy but mature at the same time."
Also beaming with pride is Hayley's mom, Debbie.
"I'm very proud of her. To have your daughter make it this far on a show like this and dance her way through America's hearts. It's been a little bit surreal and crazy and I am so proud of her for her dedication and hard work. It truly is what she's always wanted to do."
There is still much more Hayley wants to accomplish.
"I really think I want to be a backup dancer for a big artist like Beyonce or Justin Bieber, I don't know, I don't really care who it is. I would just love to go on tour again because that was such a great opportunity."
Just as long as she's dancing.
"It's really cool to actually be able to do something I love... for a living."
Hayley will be home until mid-January, then it's off to LA again to see if she can land one of those dream jobs.
