WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ U.S. immigration officials say 22 Mexican
gang members were arrested in a roundup in Wichita.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the suspects were targeted because of their membership or association with four violent street gangs - Vato Loco Boys, Sureno 13, Players for Life
and North Side Gangsters.
ICE says nine of those arrested Wednesday were wanted on outstanding warrants for burglary, assault, drive-by shootings and other crimes.
The agency says the other 13 are illegal immigrants who will be returned to Mexico.
