LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ At 12 years gold, Arkeketa says she's a psychic.

Now the Lawrence girl is in the national spotlight, featured on
the first-ever episode of ``Psychic Kids,'' a series on the A&E
Network.

Ahli has had migraine headaches for years, and she's been
diagnosed, at varying times, with attention deficit disorder,
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and childhood
schizophrenia. Her mother hopes being on the show and meeting
hosts Lisa Miller, a clinical psychologist, and psychic Chip Coffey would help them understand what Ahli was experiencing.

I have to agree, the names are a little confusing. I did watch the show and have to say it is interesting. However, give the full story, not just pieces.

Dorman Response: Nobody. This is a story written by the AP not anyone at WIBW-TV.

I don't know who edits these stories but you would think a big station like WIBW would try. Many stories are thrown out here with misspelled words, bad grammar, poor stucture, and incorrect facts. A perfect example here is the childs name in the first paragraph, is that the same child in the second paragraph. Is the point the child has these problems because of being psychic, is the child psychic because he has these problems, or is the point the child is misunderstood because he has these powers? Come on WIBW, you brag about being an award winning station, yet you publish sloppy journalism like this time and time and time and time again. It is very frustrating to see this type of reporting from a station I have come to know and repect over the years, can't you spend a little more time doing it right? If you don't have time to do it right the first time where are you going to find time to do it the second time? Good luck and I look forward to seeing improvement going forward!!!

It was an interesting show. It's too bad these kids are ostracized because of the "gift" they have. I'll watch the show again.
