Voters to Decide on Smoking Ban

It appears Manhattan voters will decide whether to ban smoking in the workplace. City commissioners Tuesday night agreed that the public should decide the question, setting up a vote as early as next August's primaries.
A local group went to the commission Wednesday with a proposal to ban smoking in the workplace, including bars and restaurants.
