TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The 2014 Kansas Teacher of the Year received some new wheels Monday.

Jeff Baxter, a high school English language teacher at Leavenworth High School, was presented the keys to a Mazda 3 Monday afternoon.

The Enterprise Foundation is providing a six month lease for the car through Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Baxter says the new wheels will help him get all over the state.

"I'm going to be traveling all over the state of Kansas to school districts, to do a variety of keynote speeches and also just to work with pre-service teachers, young people who are in colleges getting ready to be teachers and help them get ready to teach," said Baxter.

Baxter also received $1,500 dollars in ethanol gasoline from the Kansas Corn Commission.
