CONCORDIA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A 20 year-old Nebraska man was killed in a head-on collision in Concordia on Wednesday, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

Tyler J Alitz was heading north on Lincoln Street shortly after 4:00 p.m. when his 2000 Toyota Avalon crossed into the oncoming lanes and struck a 2014 Ram pickup truck hauling three cars on its trailer, the KHP reported on its crash log.

The driver of the Ram, 27 year-old Kyle Glassman, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was rushed to nearby hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities did not say why Alitz's car crossed into the southbound lanes. Neither he nor Glassman were reportedly wearing seat belts.
