A new poll shows 53 percent of Kansans know what intelligent design is and 54 percent of that group says it should be taught in schools.
The statewide poll (for the Lawrence Journal-World and 6 News) found 36 percent saying it shouldn't be taught.
Tuesday the Kansas Board of Education votes on science standards to allow criticism of evolution in public school classes.
