Reporters got a sneak peak Tuesday of a new exhibit on evolution at the Natural History Museum on the University of Kansas campus.
"Explore Evolution'' opens to the public Nov. 1 for a two-year display. The tour for the media was led by museum director Leonard Krishtalka.
Five other museums nationwide are also hosting the exhibition, all with funding from the National Science Foundation.
In Kansas, the exhibit opens as the State Board of Education is reviewing proposed science standards reflecting skepticism of evolution.
Krishtalka has said the KU exhibit has been in the works for three years but represents a good opportunity to educate the public.
