TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Members of the 190th Air Refueling Wing are preparing for disaster.
The group will conduct an emergency response exercise Tuesday to practice their response and recovery plans in case a tornado were to strike.
The exercise will begin at 10:00 a.m. and run through approximately 2:00 p.m.
Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli says part of the focus will be how they can respond to a disaster while continuing their mission.
Shawnee County Emergency Management and Kansas National Guard Headquarters Joint Operations center will also participate.
