Do You Consider This Area A Dangerous Place Of Town?
Yes
No
I don't know, I've never been

Manager of the motel Biju Thankappan speaks out to 13 News releasing this statement:

"I feel shaken with the unfortunate incident that happened in our property. Regency Inn and Suites is a very safe place. Incident like this has never happened before in this area, in fact it can happen anywhere. We have many families staying here with kids on an extended basis. I too feel safe staying here with my family.
This incident has not stopped any of our Guests from renting a room."

Topeka police say that McMaster was gunned down before 8PM just to the east side of the office building. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. Police are looking for a black male in his early 20's, about 6ft, with a skinny build. They say he was last seen wearing a black or gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

They say he was last seen in a 4-door vehicle with three other women. It was light in color and a newer model. The vehicles tag is described as being blue or gray background with red lettering and a partial tag of "920"

Police continue to ask that anyone with information please call detectives as 368-9400 or CrimeStoppers at 234-0007.
