Three recent murders have sparked concern in one Topeka neighborhood.

The Central Highland Park Neighborhood Improvement Association held its monthly meeting Monday. Neighbors discussed ways to improve the neighborhoods crime numbers. Discussions focused on how community members could become more engaged in making the neighborhood a better place to live.

Despite the recent publicized violent crime, officer Mike Cross told neighborhood members that crime stats are low in their area. The area had the 2nd lowest crime numbers in the month of April.
