Two people are in the hospital after an accident southeast of Topeka.

Around 6:45 Monday evening police say a Jeep at 53rd and Paulen pulled out from a stop sign in front of an SUV.

Two people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital, the driver with potentially life-threatening injuries. A passenger was taken with minor injuries.

No one in the other vehicle reported injuries.

Several roads in the area were closed while the scene was cleared.
