Topeka Police were busy Friday morning.

Just after 7 a.m., officers headed to Topeka Collegiate school after a student and teacher reported being charged by two pit bulls.

Neither was injured.

However, the dogs attacked a TPD officer and he shot both of them.

One dog died and the other went to a veterinarian.

The owner of the dogs was cited for vicious dog violations.
