NESS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ The boyfriend of a western Kansas woman who sat on the toilet so long she was stuck to the seat is due in court for arraignment on a misdemeanor charge.

Kory McFarren of Ness City is expected to enter a plea Wednesday to mistreatment of a dependent adult.

If convicted, he could go to jail for one year and be fined $2,500.

The case that drew worldwide attention after his girlfriend, Pam Babcock, was found in February stuck to the toilet seat.

Authorities believe Babcock sat on the toilet for around a month and had not left the bathroom for about two years.

Details of the incident surfaced after McFadden called the Ness County Sheriff's Office to say something was wrong with his girlfriend.

I believe that she sat on the seat so long her skin fused with the toilet seat. She needed medical attention to get it removed. Ow I bet that hurt.
