Shirley Johnson believes an angel has come to help her.

The Topeka woman says her elderly parents who escaped Hurricane Katrina are coming home Saturday, thanks to someone she doesn't even know.

The storm trapped her parents for five days in their New Orleans home. Like thousands of others, Johnson's parents had no food or water until they were rescued from their rooftop.

Her father is in poor health; he's blind, suffers from Alzheimer's and is diabetic. The couple was sent to Atlanta, so Johnson launched a frantic attempt to get them to Topeka.

Then a contact at the Kansas Air Center reached a member of Angel Flight, the non-profit charity air medical transportation organization. That led to an anonymous party who arranged for a donation of 300 gallons of fuel to make the trip.
