Students at the University of Kansas are being asked to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Center for Community Outreach has set up donation sites at the Kansas Union, Wescoe Beach and an intersection next to the Allen Fieldhouse parking garage. They'll collect donations from Tuesday through Friday, and Monday through Friday of the week after that. The money will go to the Red Cross.

Already, KU Athletics has announced it's donating $10,000, and athletes will collect contributions during the Jayhawks' first three home football games.

And the KU Music and Dance Department has a benefit concert planed for Sept. 13.
