Many hurricane victims are still without food, water or shelter.

That's why the Red Cross asked for 1,100 more volunteers this week.

Volunteers can still sign up and go through training sessions and some will have the options to go to New Orleans.

Volunteer Tina Price says that an important effort will also be made in

Topeka,"Since they'll be the relocation programs in so many communities including Topeka, we'll need a Topeka Red Cross at 785-234-0568.

Topekans are invited to the grand opening of the Topeka Boulevard Bridge on August 3rd. Are you planning on going, and marching on the new bridge?

No, I think it'll be too big a crowd.
I haven't decided whether to go the grand opening, or just watch it on 13 News.
