WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A western-Kansas woman who spent so long sitting on the toilet that the seat adhered to sores on her body remains in a Wichita hospital.

A family member says Pam Babcock, 35, of Ness City remains in the intensive care unit.

She has been there since Kory McFarren called the Ness County Sheriff's Office last month to say that something was wrong with his girlfriend.

Authorities came to the home and found Babcock stuck to the toilet, which they think she had sat on for about a month.

McFarren was charged last week with a misdemeanor count of mistreatment of a dependent adult. His first court appearance is April 7th in Ness City.

was it a month or two years??? and has any one found out why she sat on the pot for so long??

Brian Dorman: It is my understanding that she did not leave the bathroom for 2 years and that she hadn't gotten off the toilet for one month. There has been confusion our end as well. But that is the understanding that I have.
