NESS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ Ness County authorities have filed charges against the boyfriend of a woman who apparently spent nearly two years in her bathroom.

Ness County Attorney Craig Crosswhite says 37-year-old Kory McFarren is charged with mistreatment of a dependent adult.

McFarren called the sheriff's office last month to say something was wrong with his girlfriend.

When authorities arrived at the home, they found 35-year-old Pam Babcock stuck to the toilet. They think she had sat there for about a month.

McFarren told police that his girlfriend had been in the bathroom for about two years, and that he brought her food and water daily. He said he repeatedly asked her to come out, but her reply was usually, "maybe tomorrow.''

None of us should judge. He sounds like he tried, but he waited too long. I don't think he was criminal, just following the wishes of his girlfriend. I feel so sorry for Pam, like anyone would want this to be national news :(

Who was cashing her SRS checks if she was a dependent adult. They need to go to jail for not taking care of her.

Who voluntarily sits on a toilet for over a month while their skin grows around the seat? She had to have been restrained.....

I agree with Farm Mom on this one. I think more investigating should be done before placeing the blame on anyone. If it swims like a fish and smells like a fish then its usually a fish........something smells really fishy here.

I think there is more to the story. The man had probably been abusing her and had her locked in the bathroom and the poor woman was so scared that she didn't know what to do. The neighbors didn't even know that a woman lived there....more investigating needs to be done.
