High School Basketball Player Remembered

A basketball game in Valley Falls Tuesday held more importance than in the standings -- it was a way to remember a fallen teammate, student, family member and friend.

Cameron Bickford died in an accident days before. People in the stands wore honorary t-shirts and some even had mohawks -- his favorite hairstyle.

There was great symbolism for Cameron, who wore #13.

First, a moment of silence for the young man, who had hoped to play college football.

When his teammates took the court, they only introduced four players -- leaving a spot open for their friend. When the ball was tipped, Valley Falls did not even try for it -- that was Cameron's job.

The games go on...because life goes on.
