WINFIELD, Kan. (AP) _ The man accused of killing Jodi Sanderholm
had stalked and harassed several women around Arkansas City in the years before Sanderholm was killed.
That was the testimony Wednesday in a hearing to determine
whether information about Justin Thurber's past will be admitted at
his murder trial in June.
Ten females testified that Thurber had harassed, stalked or abducted them from 2001 up to the day before Sanderholm disappeared in January 2007. Some of the incidents were reported to police, but
no charges were filed.
One of Thurber's former friends testified that Thurber had spied on Sanderholm and her sister more than a decade ago when he was 13.
Cowley County District Judge Jim Pringle did not rule on whether the testimony will be allowed at Thurber's trial.
