One should ask why NO ONE has purchased the old Albertson's store near 29 and Farlawn. Dillon's is upgrading there store near 29 and Urish also. HyVee is building on 29 and Wanamaker. Very interesting isn't it?

I think we have more "options" in Marshall county than all of Topeka will soon have. Dillons is heading towards a monopoly. I too hate their cards!

do you realize that dillion bought the price choppers in witchta and bulldozed them and Also they bought out the ones in st joe and leavenworth. also the guy that owns the price chopper in kc bought out all the dillions stores in kc. what do you think about no freshed cut meat in topeka beside the family owned hermans? Everything will be prepacked yuk.their is a differnts in tast. the name of falleys will be a name of the past dillions now will be closing them too. homeland grocerer own them and sold them to. I think it is wrong that some one will put all these peole out of work just to make a $$$$. greedy basters this not right at this time when the economy is going hay wire. These greedy basters should be ......... You the one loosing your jobs can decide. Also what kind of severace package is these people getting?nothing at all and the union meat cutters they dont know till next week. these a** holes will be just locking the doors and let these people out on the streets.digustig

The Price Chopper on 29th and California is scheduled to close March 8th, 2008. This was disclosed on Tuesday when Dillons announced the purchase of the 2 Price Chopper Stores. The fate of the North Tyler Price Chopper is still unknown.

I'm sick of places that require "cards" for saving on purchases, and the rudeness of Wal-Mart employees causes me to avoid their stores as well. At least Price Chopper was fairly inexpensive without cards. Dillons is rediculous even WITH cards. Whatever happened to the Super Target rumors? I'm running out of places to shop!

Hey, I like the Dillons on Huntoon because it is small, you don't have to walk clear to the back of the store just to buy milk. You can get in and out fast. The Pharmacy staff is great. Shopping there is like shopping in a small town store. I hope they don't bother it. And it's not dirty.

Posted by: Mary Location: Topeka Why in the heck would Dillons in Fair;awn Plaza with the one at 21st and Belle? I think Dillons is out of their mind on this. MY RESPONSE and THOUGHTS: They will probably close the smaller 21st and Belle store in lieu of the larger store the acquired down the street. And the 10th and Gage store is a good location, even though the store is small. Why go North when they have the Dillon's on 24 highway.

The company that owns the Topeka Price Choppers is HAC out of Oklahoma... they have nothing to do with the KC Price Choppers, FYI Dave.

I sure wish dillions would buy the old falley's at 10th and college and get rid of the dirty dillions on huntoon street

Why is Price Chopper allowing Dillons to have the total market in Topeka. I left Dillons to shop at Price Chopper and I will not go back to Dillons.

I sure hate to see price choppers leave, how many Dillon's do we need in this town.

Did the press release fail to mention that Dillons sold their 5 Kansas City stores to the same company they "bought?" I forgot...its all about a positive spin...
