A Salina adult bookstore owner has ended a week-long rooftop protest of local efforts to investigate such stores for obscenity.
Thirty-eight-year-old Ray Morris spent the last week on top of Behind Closed Doors -- one of Salina's two adult bookstores.
Some local residents are gathering signatures to force a grand jury investigation into whether Behind Closed Doors and a second store, Priscilla's, are promoting obscenity by selling sexually oriented products.
Morris says he's not promoting pornography. But he says people deserve the choice whether they want to support such businesses.
