Twenty agencies and 120 people prepared for an earthquake near Tuttle Creek Dam.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sponsored the test of two large earthquakes hitting the dam's area.
Officials say that even though earthquakes don't happen often in Kansas, it's important to be prepared.
If an earthquake did hit, within eleven hours, there would be ten feet of water in the Manhattan area. People would have two to six hours to evacuate.
