For the second Tuesday in a row, the Topeka Firefighters Union marched on City Hall and this time, asked Topekans to join them.

Firefighters and supporters carried signs from the Main TFD Fire Station on Jefferson over to city hall, before Tuesday night's council meeting.

Local 83 insists it will settle on nothing less than the city's termination of Chief Howard Giles.

City manager Norton Bonaparte says he will not fire Giles.

Giles has said he's tried to work with the union and has no intention of stepping down.
