A vigil was held Tuesday evening on the lawn of the Statehouse to support Children's health care.
Parents and children gathered and lit candles. The National State Children's Insurance Health Program known as Healthways in Kansas was vetoed by President Bush. Congress will vote on whether or not to override that veto in two days.
The bill provides health insurance to families that make too much to qualify for for Medicaid but too little to afford private coverage.
Representatives for Congresswoman Nancy Boyda's office released a statement at the vigil in which Boyda encourages her colleagues as well to vote to override the President's veto.
