Runaway Teen Found In Topeka
Authorities located runaway 17-year-old Crystal Smith at a McDonald's in Topeka Tuesday just after 7:30 a.m. Authorities had been searching for the girl for nearly 8 hours.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police and Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies were searching early Tuesday morning for a runaway teen in the Topeka area.
Authorities located runaway 17-year-old Crystal Smith at a McDonald's in Topeka Tuesday just after 7:30 a.m. Authorities had been searching for the girl for nearly 8 hours.
Just after midnight 17-year old Crystal Smith was reported as a runaway from the 4100 block of Martin Drive in Topeka.
Smith was described as a white female, 5 foot 4 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt or "hoodie," a yellow tank-top, dark colored sweat pants and no shoes.
Topeka Police, Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation all worked the case.

I would think the disappearance of any child is newsworthy. Luckily they found her and she didn't end up like the other young lady who was murdered last week.
There are lots of run aways in Topeka, what is special about this? Not being a jerk just wondering. Was she in some type of danger?
