100,000 Rounds Of Ammo Stolen From Sedgwick Co. Home


WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of numerous items from a home, including thousands of rounds of ammunition.

The theft happened in the 8400 block of South West Street on June 26 sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies report someone forced their way into the home and stole a number of items, including a guitar, amplifier, tools, golf sets, rolls of wire, electronics and about 100,000 rounds of ammunition.

Damage to the home is estimated at about $1,000 with a loss of nearly $47,000.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
