TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Across the nation,people have been observing National Amberer Alert Awareness Day.
Conceived,January 13,2006.The day was designed in part to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the murder and abduction of 9 year-old Amber Hagerman of Arlington, Texas.
The purpose is to raise the public's awareness of the amber alert program and get communitie involvement in the efforts to save missing children.
