Crime Stoppers Seeks Help With February Death

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with information on the death of George K. Winter that occurred on the morning of February 15th, 2014.

Mr. Winter was found deceased in the roadway just east of the intersection of SE Howard Dr and Croco Rd. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a newer model full to midsized crew cab truck that may have a brush guard, toolbox, and/or running boards. This vehicle is believed to have been in the area around the time the body was discovered. The Sheriff’s Office has reason to believe this vehicle and its driver could have witness information that would assist Detectives with the investigation.

Anyone who knows the witness or a possible truck involved is asked to call or text Crime Stoppers with the information.
