Chandler Asks Sentencing Be Moved From Anniversary Date

Dana Chandler filed a hand-written motion Wednesday asking her August 20th sentencing date be postponed. The date would have been her 30th wedding anniversary to ex-husband Mike Sisco. Chandler was convicted of killing Sisco and Karen Harkness.

Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino announces WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is holed up in Ecuador's embassy in London. Patino says British authorities have threatened to "assault" the embassy adding, "We are not a British colony."

Sheriff: Inmate Hid Cuts In Bars With Toothpaste

KWCH-TV reports Benito Cardenas had been filing the cell bars in the Ness Co. Jail for some time. The bars are painted white, and Sheriff Bryan Whipple says Cardenas used white toothpaste to cover up the cuts.

Police: Bound Kids Said Their Family Feared Demons

Police officer Hayden Fowler testified Tuesday that an older daughter said the family was going to try to cast the demons from a 5-year-old brother and 7-year-old sister who were found bound and blindfolded in a Lawrence WalMart parking lot.

Texas A&M Gunman Apologized for Killing Police Officer

Thomas Caffall was the gunman who killed two and injured four. College Station Police say the gunman apologized as he lay dying. Highly regarded law enforcement officer Brian Bachmann (pictured here) was slain in the serving of the eviction notice.

2 Topeka Homes Invaded Overnight

Topeka Police are investigating two unrelated home invasions Tuesday morning, one that possibly ended with a suspect being shot. Three people are in custody.
