Police Arrest Federal Fugitive After Three Hour Standoff

Updated: 07/04/2008 - A person believed to be a federal fugitive ran into a home in the 200 block of SE 35th Terrace, Topeka, and held police at bay. Nine made it out of the house. Negotiators later convinced 29-year-old Quinton Lawton to come out of the house shortly before midnight. Lawton was booked into the Department of Corrections on a federal narcotics warrant.
