Posted: 10/14/2008 - 19-year old Ryan Silvey pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Tuesday. He was accused of taking $140,000 from the home of Tyson Foods Chairman John Tyson in Johnson, Arkansas. Silvey was arrested in Olathe, Kansas.

Former Kansas Principal Sentenced to Jail

Posted: 10/14/2008 - The former principal of Jefferson Elementary School in Great Bend, KS will spend 60 days in jail for stealing more than $40,000 from the PTA and student council. Don Atkinson pleaded guilty in August to six counts of theft by deception. He was sentenced Friday.

Man Charged with Teen's Murder

Updated: 10/16/2008 - Deon Ross, 24, has been booked into Shawnee County Jail and charged with first degree murder. He was apprehended Tuesday as a suspect in the murder of 18 year old Alheli Alcantara. Alcantara was found dead behind a Manhattan hotel Sunday morning.

Posted: 10/06/2008 - 38-year old Christopher Cormack faces 55 to 233 months in prison after being found guilty of indecent liberties with a child. The victim of that crime came forward out of fear Cormack's new position would give him access to minors. Cormack will be sentenced on November 25th.
