TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police arrested a woman Monday night in connection with a stabbing after she fled police in the victim's car.
Topeka Police officers were called to the 1400 block of SW Lane at 8:11 p.m. in reference to a possible stabbing. When they arrived, officers say they found a man with a stab wound. He was taken to a local hospital and treated.
Police received information that the suspect had taken the man's vehicle. At 8:18 p.m., officers spotted the vehicle in the neighborhood.
According to authorities, the suspect driving the victim's vehicle initiated a pursuit with officers. Police dispatch told 13 News Monday night that officials used stop sticks near the 2100 block of Topeka Boulevard to stop the chase.
That's when, officials said, the vehicle crossed two medians and hit a parked truck at Laird Noller.
The driver was taken into custody. Shabree Lee, 21, was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for aggravated battery (in connection with the stabbing on Lane), felony eluding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information in the case to call detectives at (785) 368-9400, or Crime Stoppers at (785) 234-0007.
