TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A woman is dead and her suspected shooter on the loose Wednesday morning.

Topeka Police told 13 News an adult female was killed by gunfire around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (9/12) at 714 SW Taylor St. Police say bullets were fired through the front door of the home. They say the woman suffered "multiple gunshot wounds." Several bullet holes could be seen in the front door.

TPD spokesperson Kristen Veverka later identified the woman as Terri Sims, 49, of Topeka.
