TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__A woman suspected in the murder of a Mayetta man in January, has now been booked in the Shawnee County Jail as a courtesy hold for Jackson County Jail.
Desiree Shopteese faces second degree murder charges along with Lloyed Wabaunsee for the January 10th shooting death of Kevin Stanely in Mayetta.
Wabaunsee and Shopteese returned to Kansas custody February 24th after waiving jurisdiction from Polk County, Iowa.
The two were found in a Hy-Vee parking lot within the trunk of a vehicle after they had fled in Kansas with Aaron Lofton and Rachel Hudson.
Wabaunsee remains jailed in Jackson County Jail. Desirree Shopteese and Lloyd Wabaunsee have a preliminary hearing on april 24th.
