WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) A Southeast High School student was arrested late last week, accused of setting another student's hair on fire.
It happened at the school around noon Friday, in between classes. According to police, a 14-year-old boy with a lighter set a 14-year-old girl's hair on fire, then ran.
The girl's hair began to smolder and caught fire but it was quickly put out. She wasn't hurt.
The boy ran from school security, but was caught. He was booked into the juvenile detention facility for aggravated battery.
