TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two Topeka men have been federally charged for making and possessing a pipe bomb.
35-year-old Joseph Rogers is charged with one count of making the destructive device, and 21-year-old Kyle Roe is charged with possessing the device.
The metal tubing device was inserted into a PVC pipe and then inserted into a cardboard tube.
The device was capable of causing serious injury or death if it would have exploded.
If convicted, the two face a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
