MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police have arrest two men in connection with a shooting in Manhattan.
Officers were called to the area of South 10th Street and Yuma Street around 6:30 PM on Monday, August 13, 2012 in reference to shots fired. When they arrived, they found several people running in multiple directions and several individuals on scene.
Officials say an argument between several people took place near the Douglas Community Center and shots were fired at five men. No one was injured.
According to police, a description of the car the suspects were believed to have left out was dispersed to officers from the scene and during a traffic stop on Fort Riley Boulevard, 21-year-old Jamie Cooper and 19-year-old Diamantae Boyd were arrested for Aggravated Assault and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Both men are from Junction City. Their bonds were set at $7,500.
