22-year-old Jesus-Daniel Valadez-Soto was to stand trial August 19th. Shawnee County District Court records show that date was rescheduled this week for November 12th.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The trial for a man charged with first degree murder of a local business owner is delayed.

22-year-old Jesus-Daniel Valadez-Soto was to stand trial August 19th. Shawnee County District Court records show that date was rescheduled this week for November 12th.

Valadez-Soto is charged with the killing of 75-year-old Hugo Jimenez, Senior. Jimenez was fatally shot in October 2012 outside the bus business he owned at SE 2nd and Quincy, near the Law Enforcement Center.
