TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A jury trial is set for a man accused of stabbing a grocery store employee in central Topeka.
Anthony Downing is scheduled to be in court December 2. Following a preliminary hearing Tuesday, he was bound over on one count of attempted second degree murder.
Topeka Police say Downing stabbed 26-year-old Joshua Nottingham several times at the Dillons near Huntoon and Lane in April. Nottingham worked at the store. Police at the time said some sort of fight might have led to the stabbing.
