TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police are looking for the suspects behind a quartet of armed robberies to businesses Monday.

The first happened at the Taco Tico on North Topeka Boulevard just before 2:30 pm Monday. No further details were available on the incident.

Then, around 6:15 pm, police were called to the Prize Package near SE 6th and Locust. Employees say a man came in with a hand gun, ordered them to the ground, robbed a customer and ran away with an unknown amount of money from the restaurant.

The suspect is described as a slender black man, about 6'1", wearing dark sweats and something covering his face.

A few hours later, around 9:30 pm, another armed robbery report came in from the Dollar General store at SW 10th and College. A suspect fled the scene.

Authorities say Smokes for Less, 101 SW 37th, was also held up Monday.

Topeka Police say the suspect in all cases is described as a black male, possibly in his thirties, approximately 6'0" and weighing 200 lbs. The suspect was armed with a small semi auto handgun.

Police say he was wearing sunglasses, dark-colored shorts, and in the Dollar General robbery, had on a white tank top and a gray shirt on top of his head. He might be traveling in a gray, four-door Pontiac.

Anyone with information on any of the holdups should contact Topeka Crime Stoppers, 785-234-0007.
