TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man is behind bars, accused of kidnapping a teenaged family member from a high school.
Topeka Police say officers were called just after 2:30 pm Monday to an abduction report at Topeka West High School. Officers say a 14-year-old male student was taken from the school by an estranged family member.
Police say investigators launched a coordinated search effort and the suspect and victim were located at an east Topeka home around 4:30 pm.
Officers arrested 30-year-old Michael Jordan on charges of kidnapping and parole violation. The juvenile victim was released into the custody of a guardian.
