Topeka Man Caught, Arrested In Jackson County For Stealing Truck

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man is in jail after being found in a stolen pick-up truck in Jackson County.

Around 10:41 p.m. Thursday night, Jackson County sheriff's deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call a half mile south of K-16 highway on "C" Road.

Authorities located a 1991 GMC pickup truck with 59-year-old Hugh Hochard inside.

The vehicle was later reported stolen out of Axtell, Kansas.

Hochard was arrested at the scene and booked into the Jackson County Jail for felony possession of stolen property. Bond is pending.
