Captain Desh says this particular area has a higher crime rate than others and detectives have ruled out the shooting being random.

He said, "It is safe to say this home was targeted and we are just going through the steps to figure who it was that had chose to target this home and what they were after. It doesn't appear to be a random act or someone shooting through the door of a random house."
