Teenager Booked On Easter Robbery Charges

Jackson County, Kan. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year old Holton man Sunday afternoon following a report of a possible home invasion at 20932 Q. Road in rural Holton.

Sheriff Tim Morse says residents came home around noon on Easter Sunday and found their door tampered with and heard someone inside their residence.

Deputies responded to the scene and located Brandon Leon Thomas, 18, of Holton hiding in a closet in the residence.

Thomas was in possession of property from the residence as well as property believed to be from a burglary in the City of Holton that occurred yesterday.

Thomas was booked into the Jackson County Jail for aggravated burglary, burglary, burglary to a vehicle, 2 counts of criminal damage and theft. Thomas is also being held for an outstanding burglary warrant out of the State of Iowa.

Bond is pending at this time.
