Police ID Walgreens Holdup Suspect
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police have a suspect in custody for an armed holdup at a Walgreens store Wednesday night.
Lt. Ron Gish says a man walked into the Walgreens at SW 29th and Gage Blvd. just before 8:30 pm Wednesday.
Gish says the suspect pointed a long rifle at workers and demanded money, got an undisclosed amount of cash, then ran off. Officers found the weapon behind the store and the suspect a short distance away.
No one was injured.
The suspect was identified Thursday as Timothy Chill, 33. He has been booked on aggravated robbery and bench warrants.
