Suspect Wanted In Car Chase Found At Topeka Motel

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- On January 14th, shortly before 2:00 p.m. officers attempted to stop a vehicle for an illegal and expired tag and turn signal violations. The vehicle initiated a pursuit, and wrecked into another car.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, where he was later released, and a warrant was placed for his arrest.

Monday night, officers conducted a knock and talk at a local motel in the 1200 block of SW Wanamaker, shortly after 10:00 p.m., after receiving a phone call about suspicious activity.

When officers arrived, they located the driver in the previous incident. Anthony Vicchullo, age 39 of Mayetta, KS was booked into Shawnee County Department of Corrections on Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute, Aggravated Battery, Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, Expired Driver’s License, Tag Not Assigned to Vehicle, No Insurance, and traffic violations.
